Almonds are a big deal here. Fresno County’s #1 crop in 2024, racking up $1.45 billion in value. That’s over 16% of the entire value of all crops grown in the county, just from almonds alone! If you're using almonds to bake cookies or throwing them into a festive salad, you're probably getting a taste of what Fresno Country grows. If you’re visiting in late winter to mid spring season, you can see where it all begins during Fresno County Blossom Trail season. The do-it-yourself trail is a colorful display of the orchards in bloom that visitors can enjoy right from their cars!

Don't worry, there are plenty of almonds to be eaten in Fresno County, too! Sierra Nut House and Enzo's Table both offer a variety of flavored almonds. Simonian Farms has a huge, dried fruit and nut selection, or swing by Fresno States Gibson Farm Market that sell student grown produce to give a taste of Fresno County and support young farmers in the making.
