Hmong New Year
Hmong New Year is the biggest cultural event within the Hmong community which marks the end of another year of hard work and a time for giving thanks. Fresno's Hmong Cultural New Year Event is the largest of its kind in the United States!
Kingsburg Swedish Festival
The ultimate Scandinavian celebration happens the third weekend in May. Experience the rich culture of Sweden during the annual Kingsburg Swedish Festival. This event is filled with entertainment, food, and takes place in the Kingsburg Swedish Village which is home to Swedish architecture, Dala horses, Swedish flags and bay trees.
Fresno Buddhist Temple Obon Festival
The Obon Festival is a time to honor loved ones who have passed. Memorial lanterns are hung throughout the festival and allow participants to take time to reflect the life of their loved ones and lead a life of gratitude.
Toro Nagashi at Shinzen Friendship Garden
Experience this traditional Japanese ceremony, where participants light floating paper lanterns to guide the spirits of the nonliving and honor their memory. Toro Nagashi takes place each August at the Shinzen Japanese Garden.
Fresno Greek Fest
In the 20th century, the first Greek immigrants began to arrive in Fresno and over time has continued to grow. The Fresno Greek Fest is a celebration of the community's heritage where you can taste true authentic Greek food, enjoy live music and shop handmade Greek accessories. You'll feel a big piece of Greece right here in Fresno County.
Scottish Highland Gathering and Games
Discover the Scottish culture in Fresno County and watch clans from all over compete in traditional games. You can also taste great food and listen to live music. This event has been around for more than 40 years and is considered one of the finest one-day Scottish events on the West Coast.

Fresno's Fiestas Patrias
Fiestas Patrias is celebrated during National Hispanic Heritage Month, commemorating independence from Spain and Portugal for countries in Latin America. Feel the love for this culture during this festival honors the Latin American Community here in Fresno County. There is a parade in Downtown Fresno with vendors, live music, and dancers.
