He is our office expert when it comes to fishing and outdoor activities. Dylan also loves going to local breweries on his days off. Here are some of his recommendations on what you can find in Fresno County.
Dylan’s favorite place to eat:
BC’s Pizza and Beer
Location: 1315 Shaw Ave, Clovis, CA 93612
Dylan enjoys getting pizza at BC’s Pizza and Beer in Clovis, where you’ll find traditional and non-traditional pizza. They have 35 beers on draft to choose from! Dylan’s go-to pizza is pepperoni with black olives. He also recommends their salad bar. The atmosphere here is family-friendly, but you still get a feel of being at a bar or brewery.

Dylan loves spending time at Courtright Reservoir. He enjoys the scenery on his drive up and the views of the lake and mountains. He loves that it’s just a scenic drive away from Fresno and Clovis.
Dylan’s favorite activity:
Dylan loves fishing. While he has many favorite spots in Fresno County, the places that stand out the most to him are Dinkey Creek, Wishon Reservoir, and Millerton Lake. Before any fishing trip, he heads over to Valley Rod & Gun in Clovis, where he finds the best bait and other fishing equipment there. Here are some tips from Dylan if you plan to fish in these spots:
Millerton Lake:
Best time to fish: Spring
Location: The area is 20 miles northeast of Fresno via Highway 41 and Highway 145.
Fish type: Spotted Bass, Catfish, Striped Bass
Bait type: drop shot, plastic worms, dark green or brown, and football jig green or brown with purple
Dinkey Creek:
Best time to fish: Summer
Location: Shaver Lake, CA
Fish type: Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout
Bait type: fly-fishing
Wishon Reservoir:
Best time to fish: Summer
Location: Wishon Reservoir, Wishon Reservoir, CA 93664
Fish type: Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout
Bait type: worms, power bait
Dylan’s favorite activity during the summer:
Dylan loves going out to a Fresno Grizzlies baseball game in Downtown Fresno. The stadium serves local beer on tap and has food trucks parked inside the concourse. Dylan’s go-to beer is the Grizzly City Ale by Tioga Sequoia Brewery. Dylan’s favorite food trucks are any of the taco trucks that stop by. He’ll usually order nachos and tacos, and whenever he’s with family he loves catching the foul balls!

Dylan’s go-to spot for delicious sweets is at Parisien Bakery in Clovis. His go-to treats are macarons and crepes. He loves the variety of flavors Parisien Bakery has when it comes to sweets!

Dylan’s favorite brewery:

Dylan loves going to local breweries on his days off. His favorite spot is Sequoia Brewing Company in Northern Fresno. He always orders the Sequoia Pale Ale and wings.

Dylan’s favorite Fresno County event:
Dylan’s favorite event in Fresno County is the annual Greek Fest. He loves getting food, baked goods, and listening to live music. Dylan’s go-to food here is the BBQ at the Mega Food Booth, Souvlaki, and Greek salad. He also loves trying the different Greek beers they offer. This event is a local favorite for many as it offers everyone a chance to take in Greek culture. The Greek Fest usually takes place in August or September to replicate the same climate as Greece for a much more authentic experience!
