Play, run, walk, and explore the natural beauty of Fresno County in one of the area’s many parks. Nearly 300 days of sunshine annually allows locals and visitors plenty opportunity to spend quality time outdoors.

Take a stroll down one of the many paths within the 300 acres of Woodward Park's alluring scenery, including beautiful lakes, and tall trees—many donning vibrantly colored leaves in the fall. Take advantage of the park’s long stretches of grassy spaces to play a sport or have a seat on one of the many benches with an array of stunning views. Tucked away within Woodward Park is Shinzen Japanese Garden, one of the prized wonders of Fresno County.

Enjoy a picnic or barbecue get-together at Woodward Park, and also historical Roeding Park—with its 96 picnic tables and 5 picnic shelters on its 159 acres. Roeding is most well-known as home of Fresno Chaffee Zoo, and Rotary Playland and Storyland. Roeding Park’s Historic Pergola is a popular place for small wedding ceremonies and photo sessions due to its broad white columns and seasonally draped wisteria.

Oso de Oro Park in Fresno is a mellow spot to enjoy a family picnic and playdate. The park's overall landscaping is carefully designed for easy wheelchair access, with plenty of play structures and a wheelchair basketball court.

Visit one of the many neatly-manicured parks studding Clovis. Find a variety of play structures, picnic areas and other features like Letterman Park’s skateboard park, or the softball and baseball fields at Rotary Park and Sierra Bicentennial Park.
