Slice of Comedy headlining Mario Hodge

Mario Hodge is a stand-up comedian and actor from Oakland, CA.

Known as one of the fastest-rising stand-up comedians from the Bay Area, Hodge is currently on tour with Faizon Love, and has been featured on Kevin Hart’s Hart of the City.

Mario Hodge was born and raised in Oakland, CA. After starting his comedy at the age of 40, Hodge has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the world of comedy in just eight short years.

As a child, Hodge watched legendary comedy sitcoms like Sanford & Son, The 3 Stooges, The Li’l Rascals. His favorite comedians as a child were Richard Pryor (whom he snuck to watch whenever he could), and his own mother, whom he says “loved her children but she made fun of us, too.” These early influences shaped and molded Hodge’s dreams, and from that moment on, he knew he was meant for the big screen.
