Every first Thursday of the month you can experience ArtHop in Fresno. See stunning sculptures, paintings, and more from local artists when you visit these galleries in Fresno’s Tower District and Downtown Fresno:

 

Downtown Fresno

Corridor 2122

Location: 2122 Mono St, Fresno, CA

About: What started as a studio workspace has turned into an exhibition spot for local artists to display their hard work. At Corridor 2122, you’ll find a variety of contemporary art pieces, from drawings to sculptures.

Clay Hand Studios

Location: 660 Van Ness Ave, Fresno, CA

Clay Hands

About: Community members come together at Clay Hand Studios to share ideas and create art from clay. You’ll find pots, jewelry and so much more visitors can also purchase some of the art on display. You can even register for ceramic classes to try your hand wheel throwing and hand building. Wheel-throwing classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 5 pm to 8 pm, and hand-building classes are on Sundays both classes are $150 for four weeks. Sign up here

Fig Tree Gallery

Location: 644 Van Ness Ave, Fresno, CA

About: Fig Tree Gallery is the longest-running artist collective in California where you’ll find work from mixed media, illustrations, sculptures, and paintings. You can talk to the artists who have their art on display. The gallery also provides snacks during Art Hop. 

Silva Salazar Studios

Location: 654 Van Ness Ave, Fresno, CA

Dixie Salazar

About: Find artwork by Dixie Salazar at the Silva Salazar studios. Dixie is a Central Valley artist who has worked in many mediums like oils, watercolors, and more. Walking around the studio you’ll see paintings and drawings filling each corner. She has paintings you can purchase during ArtHop and she loves talking to visitors about her work.

Downtown Artist Gallery

Location: 7010 L St, Fresno, CA

About: Meet the artists behind the art at Downtown Artist Gallery. Inside, the gallery is divided into three areas. In Building A, you can find woodwork and bamboo art and you can find drawings in Robert Ogata's studio. Another area has paintings from local artists, and depending on the theme of the night, you'll get to see unique pieces. 

Cultural Arts District

Location: 1615 Fulton St, Fresno, CA 93721

About: Take a look at the flashing umbrellas at the Cultural Art District Park. During ArtHop, there are rows of vendors in the district selling artisan goods, clothing and food. Several food trucks also line up in the streets. 

Tower District

Spectrum Art Gallery

Location: 608 E Olive Ave, Fresno, CA

About: At Spectrum Art Gallery, you can find different photography pieces. ArtHop lets local artists show off their creative minds by telling their own stories through several art pieces. Pick up a few snacks as you walk around and look at all the pictures on the wall. The exhibit changes the theme every month you can find a list of this year's themes here. Nearby, eat or drink at Sequoia Brewing Company and The Lincoln Pub.

A Sense of Place Fine Art Gallery

Location: 2003 N Van Ness Blvd, Fresno, CA 93704

About: Find art on display by Fresno State Students at Sense of Place. You can walk around and take a glimpse of paintings, sculptures, and ceramic art. The art on display is also available for purchase. Nearby on Echo Street, you can find MOTO Delicatessen & Bodega where they have a wide selection of sandwiches and coffee.

Art Space Gallery

Location: 1101 E University Ave, Fresno, CA 93741

About: Art Space Gallery presents several exhibitions annually, including shows by internationally and nationally known artists, local and emerging artists, Fresno Community College faculty, and students. During ArtHop you can see modern and contemporary art.
