Located across from the university on Shaw Avenue, the restaurant is known for its tri-tip sandwich and other barbecue dishes. It's a great stop if you're headed out to a Fresno State sporting event, concert at the Save Mart Center or simply just looking for great barbecue on during your stay. Kosi's go-to order is the tri-tip sandwich with extra barbecue sauce and a basket of fries or onion rings.

In addition to the spots mentioned above, he recommends visiting the Foresteire Underground Gardens, the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Millerton Lake, the Tacolandia taco truck in Clovis, the three nearby national parks and a Fresno State football game, of course.

"There's more to do here than meets the eye," Kosi said. "There are things to do in this county that can bring pure joy." His favorite part about Fresno County is the community. It's inviting, diverse and provides a small town feel to a big city.
