Arte América's

Arte América's has all the art and culture of Latin America and it’s a must-add to your list of cultural experiences in Fresno County. This downtown cultural arts center celebrates Latino and Latin American heritage through art, cultural programming and community events.
As the gallery undergoes a major renovation for a new exhibit, you can still experience its events and cultural programming. Check out their page for some upcoming events.

Jack Kelley Museum of African American History & Culture

Take some time to learn about the people and stories that have shaped Fresno’s African American community at the Jack Kelley Museum of African American History & Culture. Located in Downtown Fresno, the museum showcases artifacts, artwork and exhibits that highlight African American history and contributions throughout Fresno County.
During your visit, check out “Living Legends,” an exhibition featuring local jazz artwork celebrating Juneteenth and Black Music Month.
Armenian Museum of Fresno

Fresno is home to a large Armenian community! Stop at the Armenian Museum of Fresno to discover artwork, artifacts and stories that highlight a culture that has been part of Fresno County’s identity for generations

Celebrating Fresno County’s Cultural Heritage at The Big Fresno Fair
Location: 1121 S. Chance Ave, Fresno, CA 93702
You might not expect to discover so many stories of the communities that helped shape Fresno County at The Big Fresno Fair, but that’s exactly where you’ll find them. Explore exhibits that highlight the traditions, experiences and contributions of Mexican American, Armenian American, Hmong American, Sikh American, Japanese American, Italian and other communities that call Fresno County home.
These aren’t just artifacts behind glass. Some of the items on display were donated by local families, offering a glimpse into the traditions, experiences and stories that have been passed down through generations.
One of the featured exhibits explores Italian heritage and the experiences of Italian immigrant families who made their way to Fresno County. You’ll find four interactive touchscreen displays that dive into Italian traditions, culture and achievements, all surrounded by Tuscan-inspired architecture and Italian-inspired artwork.
From China to Fresno County: A 150-Year Cultural Journey
Location: 7160 W Kearney Blvd, Fresno, CA 93706
Discover the story of Fresno County’s Chinese American community through “From China to Fresno: A 150-Year Cultural Journey.” Located in the gallery at Kearney Mansion Museum and the Archive on Kern, this exhibit takes you through more than 150 years of Chinese history in Fresno County and highlights the traditions, experiences and contributions of the community.
As you explore, you’ll see artifacts saved from Chinatown 60 years ago including traditional Chinese clothing dating back to the late 1800s and early 1900s to Chinese deities, early calligraphy and an authentic lion head used in 19th-century Lion Dances. The collection brings together pieces that help you better understand the Chinese community that shaped part of Downtown Fresno.
