The Heroes & Honor Trail

This trail highlights the memorials dedicated to veterans, first responders, and peace officers who have shaped Fresno County communities. These stops offer quiet reflection while honoring the people behind the uniforms.
Featured stops include the California 9/11 Memorial; this exhibit and annual commemoration ceremony is the largest of its kind in the U.S. outside of New York City. Paying tribute to local, state, and federal law enforcement officers is the Fresno County Peace Officers Memorial. Which honors those who gave their lives in the performance of their duties. Fresno First Responders Memorial is a symbol of the city’s deep respect for all who serve our community. The Fresno Sheriff’s Memorial is a powerful symbol of courage, protection, and vigilance. It honors those who gave their all in service. Together, they tell the story of bravery, sacrifice, and the strong community ties that define Fresno County.
The Veterans Legacy Trail
History comes to life along this trail through powerful tributes to the men and women who served our country across generations, these places serve as reminders that Fresno County’s connection to American history runs deep. Visitors can explore spaces that preserve personal stories, military artifacts, and memorial walls that continue to hold deep meaning for local families and visitors alike.
Stops along the trail include the Veterans Memorial Museum, which is open Monday - Saturday 10 A.M. - 3 P.M. The Veterans Memorial Museum provides visitors with numerous framed citations, photographs and exhibits that tell the story of America’s wars. Clovis Veterans Memorial District, is open 7 days a week from 8 A.M. - 5 P.M. It serves as a permanent living memorial honoring the U.S. Military and Veterans. Reedley Veterans Memorial Wall is a beautifully designed mural that honors the Reedley Veterans that they served. The Western Regional Vietnam Memorial Wall was created to commemorate all who gave their lives during the Vietnam conflict. It was dedicated by the veterans in Dinuba who want to preserve and ensure that these young men and women are never forgotten.

This trail highlights the people, culture, and hometown pride that continue to shape Fresno County today. Beyond memorials, visitors can explore the stories of the communities that helped build the region and experience how local history and patriotism intersect.
Explore the Clovis Museum which is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. and every Friday from 6 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Step into the Clovis Museum and explore a living time capsule of Clovis history, from pioneer families and local legends to rare artifacts, vintage photos, and stories that shaped the community. The Community Heritage Center at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10 A.M. - 5 P.M., it is an immersive exhibit, with interactive technology, and powerful veteran stories that bring the history of Clovis and America’s service members to life. Discover the roots of Fresno County through exhibits, local history, and community storytelling that make these spaces feel personal and authentic.
