Running seasonally from April through November, this immersive tour invites you to explore the people, places, and traditions that help shape California agriculture. From sprawling orchards and family farms to innovative agricultural operations, each stop offers a deeper understanding of how Fresno County helps nourish communities across the world.
You’ll start at the historic Kearney Mansion Museum, and board a motor coach for a guided journey through open fields, vineyards, orchards, and working farms.
Each tour follows a unique seasonal theme and features three carefully selected agricultural stops. One tour might highlight the journey of fresh produce from field to table, while another explores specialty crops, family-run operations, or agricultural innovation.
Along the way, you’ll have a chance to win prizes during a game of visitors' agricultural trivia, meet the farmers and producers behind the crops, and enjoy tastings featuring ingredients grown right here in Fresno County.
At each stop you’ll hear directly from the people who have made farming their life’s work. Lunch is included as part of the experience, giving you another chance to savor the region’s bounty before returning to Kearney Mansion. The day concludes with time to explore the museum and gallery, adding a historical perspective to the agricultural journey.
Built in 1903, Kearney Mansion was the home of M. Theo Kearney, the man who became known as the Raisin King of California. More than a historic home, the mansion offers a glimpse into Fresno County’s agricultural roots and the vision that helped shape the region’s farming industry. Guided tours take you through rooms that have been carefully preserved, showcasing original architectural details, intricate woodwork, decorative arches, and period wallpaper that help tell the story of a bygone era. As you walk through the home, you’ll experience a living time capsule that connects Fresno County’s agricultural past to the thriving industry you explored throughout the day.
