The Fresno Discovery Center offers a rotating lineup of weekly programs designed to keep learning active, engaging, and fun throughout the week:
Music Mondays
Start the week with movement and sound. Music Mondays introduces kids to rhythm, singing, and musical play through interactive, age-appropriate activities that support early learning and creativity.
Saturday Science
Every Saturday, families can take part in hands-on experiments and interactive activities designed to spark curiosity. From creative building challenges to simple science demonstrations, each week brings something new to explore.
Sensory Sunday
Sundays offer a calmer pace with sensory-based play experiences designed for younger learners. Children can explore textures, materials, and themed activity stations that encourage imagination and discovery in a relaxed environment.
Explore the Exhibits and Outdoor Spaces

Beyond weekly programming, the Fresno Discovery Center features a variety of hands-on exhibits and outdoor spaces that encourage exploration at every turn.
Inside, you can discover interactive science exhibits and live animal encounters designed to make STEAM learning accessible and engaging. Outside, the experience continues across 5.5 acres of gardens and discovery areas.
Highlights include the koi-filled pond, the cactus garden, and the Garden of the Sun, where you can explore themed plant collections and enjoy a peaceful walk through a living classroom. Each space invites families to connect with science and nature in a hands-on way.

Dates: June 13 - July 6, 2026
Explore the June Bug Exhibit, featuring insects from countries across the globe. From Mexico and Colombia to Japan, Australia, Germany, and beyond, the exhibit offers a closer look at fascinating species from different regions of the world. It’s an opportunity for children and adults alike to discover the diversity of the insect kingdom and learn about creatures they may not encounter every day.
Keep Kids Learning This Summer

Dates: August 3 -7, 2026
Families planning a summer visit can also take advantage of the Fresno Discovery Center’s Summer Camp, for students in TK through 5th grade. Campers will take part in guided activities, creative projects, and science-based learning experiences designed to keep curiosity active during the summer months.
Something New Is on the Way
The Fresno Discovery Center is also preparing to unveil its new Roaring Rainbow Playground. Opening soon, this colorful new addition will give young visitors another place to climb, play, and burn off energy while exploring the center’s grounds.
