Swede Fest

Swede Fest 25, Fresno’s unique film festival for homemade recreations of popular movies, returns! Filmmakers of all ages and experience levels are invited to submit their own “sweded” films—low-budget, DIY parodies—by Monday, April 21, 2025. No Hollywood budget required—just creativity and fun!

New this year, Swede Fest Junior, in collaboration with Fresno Unified School District, will highlight student-made films through a special competition for K-12 students. Winning submissions will be screened at Swede Fest, celebrating the creativity of young filmmakers.

Swede Fest is a sponsored project of Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC) and is made possible with generous support from Fresno Unified School District, ensuring it remains free to submit and attend.
