Description

In collaboration with District 3 Councilman Miguel Arias, Jakara movement is hosting a monthly Farmers Market at Jaswant Singh Khalra Park on Clinton and Brawley. This market will take place at the park on the last Saturday of every month between 8am - 1pm. Community members will be able to purchase fresh fruits and produce, locally made and grown honey, almonds, pies, breads etc. We also have space allocated for youth entrepreneurs and local high school clubs who are fundraising for their programs. Our goal is to educate the importance of healthy food and nutrition by providing low cost healthy food options and supporting the community that surrounds the park.
