As you get ready to lace up your running shoes and prepare to tackle the scenic and challenging course of the Two Cities Marathon, hosted by the California Classic Events, here's everything you need to know ahead of the race.
When & Where Does the Race Begin?
The marathon will take place Sunday, November 3. Organizers encourage all racers to arrive no later than 6:00 am. The marathon and half marathon begin at 6:30 am, the 10k starts at 6:40 am and the 5k begins at 7:00 am. The race will start and end at Clovis Community College at the corner of International and Willow Avenue. Find course maps for all races here.
Parking
Runners can park at Clovis Community College in the lot off of Willow Avenue or at Clovis North High School. There will also be a shuttle available for $7.50 that will take you from Clovis West High School (located at 1070 E Teague Ave, Fresno, CA 93720) to the starting line. Anyone wishing to use the shuttle service must buy their pass in advance. Passes will not be available the day of the race.
Road Closures
The marathon track goes through parts of north Fresno and Clovis, and there will be several road closures throughout the course of the race. The City of Fresno has said that Friant Road from Audubon Drive to Willow Avenue, and Shepherd Avenue from Friant Road to Willow Avenue will be closed from 3 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
