Press Contact Douglas Johnson SIMPLEVILLE RESORT & SPA ANNOUNCES ITS GROUNDBREAKING NEW BEE PROGRAMMING From honey-tasting workshops to an immersive beekeeping experience, Simpleville's new bee programming offers guests a fun way to give back to the environment
"For 20 years, Simpleville has remained a thought leader in the health and wellness space, and our unmatched list of offerings continues to inspire guests to seek out new ways to achieve overall wellness," said Wayne Campbell, vice president and general manager of SimplevilleResort & Spa. "Smith's new beekeeping programs encourage guests to consider the environment while pushing them outside of their comfort zones." Currently, Smith is leading three new interactive activities, workshops and lectures at Simpleville which include: -All the Buzz - The Bee Experience at Simpleville: During this interactive experience guests suit up in protective gear and head to Simpleville's on-property beehives where they learn from local professional beekeeper Patterson Smith how to care for bees and harvest honey. -Honey: A Sensual Journey: Patterson Smith believes that tasting honey is a sensual experience. Like wine, honey reflects the terroir and environment of the hive from which it comes. Guests will join Smith on this journey as they taste their way through a variety of local honeys and discuss what they experience along the way. -Bees: What's the story?: Join Patterson Smith to discuss everything buzzworthy about bees. Why are they in the news so often? What is Colony Collapse Disorder, and what can we do about it? During this informative lecture guests will learn about why bees matter and why it is important to support those who are keeping their bees responsibly. Patterson Smith first started beekeeping seven years ago when he unexpectedly received an apiary as a gift for his birthday. Smith was thrilled to find that much like wine, honey reflects the terroir from which it comes. As Smith learned more about bees he developed a true passion for ethical and sustainable beekeeping, an important message that he hopes to teach to Simpleville's guests. About Simpleville Arizona |

The more we do this - the more it will do good things to our heart. There we go. It all happens automatically. I guess I'm a little weird. I like to talk to trees and animals. That's okay though; I have more fun than most people. Decide where your cloud lives. Maybe he lives right in here. Just go back and put one little more happy tree in there.
